It's Friday and I am bursting with excitement!

I am a bit tardy posting today for anyone not on the west coast. Well, even if you ARE on the west coast. More of that life intruding business - a little spinning, a little grocery shopping and now it's now. Oh and a little BROADWAY TICKET SHOPPING.

I am VERY excited because I get to see this and this! You see, we might be a bit crazy over here at the cottage but what we do like to do is invest in experiences. Inspiring experiences. I am a very lucky woman because the man is my partner in crime - he "gets" the worth of flying to NYC to see a particular actor in a particular play. And understands that that is MUCH more valuable than a huge house or a fancy car. At least to us.

Don't get me wrong, I do like my nice things - I regularly drool over and indulge in handbags. And a unique chair. But send me to some premium, it-doesn't-get-better-than-this theatre, and I am one happy girl.

First, Death of a Salesman with Philip Seymour Hoffman. Willy Loman's phrase, "you can't eat the orange and throw the peel away - a man is not a piece of fruit!" has been on my mind for days. It is an amazing play - it's long (over three hours) and a drama - and worth seeing if you can get to NYC before it closes on June 2nd. You will NOT be the same person after seeing this play!

Second, Cindy Sherman! And one of my fave bloggers, Inward Facing Girl, had an obsession this week that reminds me sooo much of Sherman. Think Sherman + flimmaker Douglas Sirk = Gregory Crewdson.

I am currently reading this for fun. I always have a novel on the go. And I am reading this to learn about tabletop photography.

Watch this - it's called "steal like an artist" and I am going to be going back to this again a few times on my own over the next few weeks. Inspiring...

Next week I unveil a new column...stay tuned! I love getting to know some of my favourite bloggers and creatives better. You will too!

It's almost the weekend and I had better head off. Must pick up the girl from school in an hour or so and then get started on Friday night dinner. It's raining here in the PNW.

What's in store for us this weekend? Some science experiments, some swimming, some yoga, book reading and perhaps this movie. You can be sure that we'll be making something...A visit with friends and a carnival to attend too. How about you?
