Here's Melanie of Inward Facing Girl and her lovely son Nathaniel. I discovered her blog through an Alt Summit class (you MUST take one if you haven't already, and even if you have, take another.). What I love about her blog is that it is a delightful mix of design and art and life and love of Rock Hudson with her unique spin on things. It's eclectic and interesting and I always know that I will see something there that I won't see anywhere else. Isn't that what you want in a blog? It's a regular read for me.
I haven't met her in real life yet but we will see each other in Seattle in May when we both attend Girl Crush. Are you coming?
So let's meet Melanie...
Most of my work is done on my iMac in a room that serves as a kitchen/dining room/living room/office/playroom for a 19-month old. My husband and I have side-by-side desks and my favorite piece of art hangs over our workspace. We need a bigger space soon!
Pin things. Look at Pins. Think about Pins. Read blogs. Tweet or Facebook. Stuff that I actually need to do for my blog, but they still feel like guilty pleasures sometimes.
Melanie inspires. She inspires me to do more and to do it better - I cannot believe the original content that she creates for her blog while also working fulltime with another parttime gig on top of that! She always has a unique spin on things. It's all very Melanie.
Who do you find inspiring? What is it about them that inspires you? What other design blogs should I be reading?
